We are not an agency

We're a small, accountable team of practitioners who couldn't stand watching agencies sell strategy decks while the work rotted. So we built the opposite. Loud. Obsessive. Full stack. One team, every discipline, every deliverable owned end-to-end. Eight years in. 50+ projects shipped. Six countries. Zero ghost jobs.

№ 01 — The Origin Story

How a 2018
obsession

became
an agency.

Chapter 01

It started with a problem nobody else seemed to care about.

Lahore, 2018. Farhan had spent enough time inside the digital agency world to know exactly what was broken about it. Beautiful pitch decks. Stunning brand decks. Stunning silence after the contract was signed. Strategy without ship dates. Reports that hid behind vanity metrics. Three vendors blaming each other for the same missed deadline.

Most people learned to live with it. We couldn't. The bad work felt like a personal insult. The handoffs felt like fraud. So instead of complaining about the industry, we decided to build the opposite of it.

[ filed: origin · 2018 ] we were furious
Chapter 02

So we found our people.

Turns out we weren't the only ones. SEOs who actually shipped technical fixes. Developers who cared whether the site converted. Designers who treated brand identity like a serious instrument, not a Canva exercise. Writers who refused to fill the page with corporate filler. People who took it personally when the work wasn't right.

That's the team Marketing Maniacs was built out of. Same energy. Same standard. Same "we're not okay with mediocre" wiring. The mascot you keep seeing? That's literally what it feels like inside this agency on a Tuesday afternoon.

[ filed: hiring · standard ] like attracts like
Chapter 03

Then the agencies came calling.

The fastest credibility check in this business is simple: do other agencies trust you with their clients? Around year three, the answer became yes. Hotpepper (Chris Romero, USA) brought us in for white-label SEO and development. Then Search Specialists. Black Panda. Contntr. GMB Crush.

If you've worked with a North American agency in the last few years and the work felt strangely good, there's a non-zero chance it was ours. You just didn't know. That's the white-label deal. We don't advertise the partnership; the partners advertise the work.

[ filed: white-label · receipts ] trust = compounding
Chapter 04

Then we registered in Texas.

By 2024 the US client volume crossed the threshold where a Pakistan-only setup didn't make sense anymore. So we did the boring, expensive, actually credible thing, incorporated Marketing Maniacs LLC in Texas. Now we operate on the books in both markets. SECP A827871 in Pakistan. A real US entity. Not a freelancer with a website. An actual agency, both sides of the world.

[ filed: incorporation · 2024 ] made it legal
Chapter 05

And then the AI era arrived.

February 2026: ChatGPT Ads went live. AI agents started making purchase decisions on behalf of real customers. Search itself began rewriting around language models. Most agencies are still trying to figure out what GEO means. We've been doing the entity stacking, schema architecture, and AI-readable structured data since before it had a name.

The next decade belongs to brands that adapt now. We're built for that. We're already there.

also runs these brands
Pet Buckets SharkFlexStyles IRInsider Beardieworld Qurbani for Unity
So what does "practitioner, not consultant" actually mean?
It means I'm not selling advice I haven't tested. I run Pet Buckets, SharkFlexStyles, IRInsider, Beardieworld, and Qurbani for Unity — live brands across e-commerce, investor relations, niche pets, and non-profit. Every strategy we put in front of a client has already been burned, fixed, and re-tested on my own budget. Consultants theorise. Practitioners ship. I do the second one.
Why does it matter that you run your own brands?
Because the moment you only spend other people's money on marketing, your standards drop. When it's your inventory, your ad spend, your hosting bill, your cart recovery email at 2am — you find out very quickly what works and what's just nice slides. That's where the agency gets its real playbook. Not from a course. From the receipts.
Who mentored you along the way?
Two people I owe a real debt to in the SEO world. Casey Keith taught me entity stacking and the technical SEO discipline most agencies skip — JSON-LD architecture, semantic relationships, the deep schema work that makes you visible to LLMs today. Chris Romero (Hotpepper Agency) taught me what local SEO and white-label delivery look like at the highest standard. Both of them shaped how this agency works. Credit where credit's due.
What gets you out of bed?
A site ranking that shouldn't have ranked. A Flutter app live in the App Store that started as a brief on a Tuesday. A founder messaging at midnight because the campaign just hit. The receipts. Always the receipts. I genuinely cannot stand watching businesses get sold quiet, expensive, mediocre marketing. That feeling is the whole agency.
What's the one thing you'd tell a founder hiring an agency?
Ask them what they've shipped in the last 30 days — for their own brands, not their clients'. If they don't operate anything of their own, walk. The internet is full of agencies selling marketing they couldn't run on their own businesses. Don't be the one paying them to figure it out on yours.
№ 03 · The Operating Principles

Six rules
this agency
cannot break.

Every decision goes through this filter. New hires read these on day one. Clients are told them on the first call. Break one and the work doesn't go out — no exceptions.
Rule №01 Non-negotiable

Ship beats Strategy.

"Nobody's career was made by a great strategy deck."

A roadmap that doesn't translate into shipped work in the next two weeks is theatre. We move fast, ship early, fix in flight. Every deliverable has a date. Every date gets met. If the strategy can't survive contact with execution, it wasn't a strategy.

Rule №02 Non-negotiable

Practitioners over theorists.

"If you don't operate anything of your own, you don't get to teach me how to run mine."

Everyone on this team has shipped real work for real clients, or run their own brand and felt the consequences personally. No theory-only hires. No "I read about it once" advice. The bar is: have you done this, with your own time and money, and what happened.

Rule №03 Non-negotiable

No ghost jobs.

"You will hear from us before you have to ask."

Weekly progress drops, no exceptions. Proactive flags when something changes, before you notice. The person who pitched you is the person doing the work. If you have to chase us for an update, we've already failed you.

Rule №04 Non-negotiable

One team owns it.

"'Our content partner dropped the ball' is not a sentence we use."

SEO, dev, apps, Figma, design, automation, all in-house. No four-vendor chains. No outsourcing. No subcontractor mystery. Every deliverable belongs to one accountable team. If something breaks, we own the fix. If something wins, we own the receipts.

Rule №05 Non-negotiable

Build for both internets.

"Old SEO still pays the bills. New AI visibility is the entire future."

Technical SEO that wins on Google. Entity stacking, GEO, AI-readable structured data that wins on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini. Every project ships ready for the next decade, not just optimised for the channel that's quietly shrinking.

Rule №06 Non-negotiable

Honesty over retainer.

"If you don't need us anymore, we'll tell you."

We'd rather lose the retainer and keep the relationship. If the work is done, we say it. If the budget should go somewhere else, we say it. If we're the wrong team for the job, we say it on the first call. The trap is the lock-in. We don't run it.
